Taking first steps

Independently, that is!!  Emma is now practising taking some independent steps without holding onto anything.  And she can do it!  4 to 5 to 6 and maybe even 7 steps — it’s hard to count when trying to watch and try to catch her if she falls.  There is a video on facebook as we still can’t figure out how to do it on the blog yet (wrong file format) so we hope you can see this:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-Emma-Walk/355762732237?ref=search#!/video/video.php?v=428231197522&ref=mf

She’s not holding onto anyone’s hand or anything, it just looks like she is because it’s hard to film and try to catch her if she falls all at the same time!

One Response to Taking first steps

  1. When I left on the 8th to come home, Emma was doing great, every one seemed to be settling in, …school , around the house, and work. Angie on the run and getting down to the business of work. I even took advantage of the house hold normalcy, and walked into the village to check out the market, flower shop and church. It happen to be on the warmest day I’ve ever spent in England. I was way over dressed.

I enjoyed hearing the doctor and watching the daily improvement at physio.

The two flights were a challenge, but we were all up for it, even though Angie could’nt see over the luggage cart and lost one bag off the top into a puddle. Michelle was a big help, she pushed Emma in the wheel chair …We were quite a sight! …but everyone wanted to help us in anyway they could. We were all happy to see Daddy and be home in our own rooms and playroom. It was hard to leave, however, I had an event to attend in Tahoe North Star. Drove down from the lake today. Am looking forward to picking up Mr. C (cat). It was fun to beable to give a helping hand. and I know Emma will be up and running soon.OXOX Grammy/Mumsy
