After a long and difficult journey spread over two days, we finally made it home. Not sure how Grammy and Mommy were able to tote that much luggage around on their own, but they did it!!
Emma has already done some hard work since we’ve been home (only a day) and she actually STOOD BY HERSELF for over 30 seconds. It was amazing, absolutely amazing!!! And she’s already using her big sticks independently in the house, which she hasn’t been able to do since last August. And she’s walking holding just one of our hands already, too. Her fast progress is absolutely incredible, and she even ventured taking 2-3 independent steps after discovering that she could stand briefly unaided. They were wobbly steps, but indpendent steps nonetheless!! We are already so happy with the results of the SDR surgery. She was so much more comfortable and ‘free’ on the airplane than before. And it’s only going to get better from her the stronger and more confident she becomes.
